    Default new to rabbits

    hi all
    ive just got a bunny and ive called him farthing, any advice on care would be appreciated im hoping to get him a friend eventually

    hi!

    there's a wealth of advice on here, sometimes i find it best to do a search for specific things.

    what breed is your little one? make sure you put some piccies up soon!

    basic advice to start would be to feed him a good quality pellet (like excel or science selective), avoid the muesli mixes, and make sure he has mountains of hay to munch on. tiny amounts of veg can be introduced at about 16 weeks old (i think) but start with postage size amount because their tummies are so delicate.

    they love stimulating toys from empty toilet rolls to the fab things you get in shops for bunnies.

    If you do change his pelleted food make sure you do it slowly so as not to upset his tummy....how old is Farthing?
