At the minute im using a rather dim torch... i have a lead which runs into the shed... could i plug a standard light into it?

Is the lead probably wired for outside use or just a cable you've run from the house?

You'd probably want to look under the outdoor section for something that's sealed in case it gets damp.

I have some battery powered light bulbs, with a pull on switch. They use 4 AA batteries and are excellent. The are shaped like normal bulbs but are plastic. They come with replacement inner bulbs too :) Bought about 10 from the poundshop but betterware have them in for £3.99. Cant describe them any better really  I also have a rechargeable emergency light ;)

You could try some of those stick-on lights that you push to switch on and off. ... http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/n...refview=search&ts=1205790094202&isSearch=true

If you search the B & Q site for "push light" there are some in other shapes too :D

I bought some of these for my hutches, but the batteries lasted about a nanosecond  You can get big torches on a mains lead for garage mechanics, or just by one of these camping lanterns http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3400164/Trail/searchtext>LANTERN.htm I've got a couple and they're really bright, have a dimmer switch too to save energy - 4 D batteries lasts ages :)

I used to use torches but i have run a wire in and attached a proper light in which runs into the house and plugs in when i need it,quite simple really

I use something like this: http://www.haysomlighting.co.uk/item--776-White-Clip-On-Light--776.html

It was really cheap from Wilko and if I need to move it to somewhereto see better, I can, but most of the time its kept clipped to the wood of the shed by the window frame. I have a low energy bulb in mine and it does the job fine. :D

Oh, meant to say, I'm actually thinking about putting some low energy Xmas fairy lights in my new shed, they can be stapled all around the top, away from teeth and they dont blind you either, plus I have loads I bought in the sale and never used!

We have a solar power light similar to this, it's about the power of a 30 watt bulb, so not super bright but enough to see by.
