Bonding Bunnies

Howdie folks:wave::wave:

We have recently rehomed Ollie through Rabbit Rehome to a lovely family in Buckinghamshire but wondered if we could ask your help regarding a little bit of Bonding advice.

Ollie was Neutered 12 months ago and was introduced to his new wifey bunn to be - a lovely Neutered bunny called Fluffy who has recently lost her husbun and she is eager to make Ollie's aquaintance:)

Ollie has never been with another female bunny before and he seems to be very insecure and seeking the security of his new four foot family - rather than taking the plunge and become friends with Fluffy.

At the moment they are both in neutral area and separated but they can sniff and smell each other.

Do you think they should just be put straight together to let them sort themselves and get on with it - or would a car ride help so they hopefully snuggle up together? -

I'm worried to just suggest popping them both together as wouldn't want their existing Fluffy bunny to get hurt.

The bunnies have been together for 24 hours so I have suggested leaving them another 24/48 hours quietly in their respective areas to sniff and get to know each other a little bit more.

Do you think we are doing this the right way folks:roll:

Ollie's new home is in Penn in Buckinghamshire - so anyone know of any rescues down that way that might be able to help with the bonding process?

Thanks Folks

Yer try a car ride in a pet basket together then put them together and watch them in a a run sized space.

Good luck.
