Yes, it is definitely something that puts me off getting them. :(
Maybe a teddy that is aimed at newborns, so there is nothing to chew?
:lol::lol::lol:
If you're syringing, I would want to syringe water rather than food, as that can encourage eating (plus it's so much easier).
You must be so stressed. :(
Hehe, I remember telling Clover not to eat the carpet. She stared at me and then continued to pull at the threads, while Dusty cowered under the chair all 'what's going on???' Bloomin' bunnies...
Absolutely. If it's any comfort at all, I think those guilty feelings do fade with time and turn more into a missing the pet rather than feeling bad about yourself.
So sorry to hear this. :( Got to just take it one day at a time for yourself, I think.
Sometimes I think that we'd be better off trying to provide as much normality for our bereaved pets as...
Yes, I think that all herd animals are hard-wired to pick up on illness in others, however well they try to hide it.
I particularly liked the one of Sophie begging you for food. She's looking great for 11. They look like they have a lovely life with you.
Aww.... love it.
Exactly. Poor quiet bunnies
Just adding to this, there is a debate about how much veg to feed pigs, which is why I tend to feed more veg than I once did. The John Chitty webinar kind of supported this, because he was talking...
Hehe, I just told my two that I was being mean to other pigs.
How many pellets were you told to feed then? I only feed more if I have an underweight pig (or growing ones). Pellets are the...
Yes, probably about that.
They do learn a routine, so they will learn that veg and pellets come twice a day etc. But they always live in hope.
Flippin' 'eck, if you feed them whenever they ask for it, you're in trouble. They will just ask 100 times a day. They get so used to a routine, and that includes associating the sounds of a...
Nah, I've had all kinds. Some picky, some crazy about everything.
Aww... so cute. Loving the idea of a piggy nun. Got to be Agnes, for that reason alone. Even though she's living with a Mr Pig.
What are their bloomin' names?
In my experience (with piggies, admittedly), blood in urine doesn't look orange, but red. When I had bunnies their urine was pretty much always orange.
So sorry... Lots of love to you x
I feed some stuff from the garden this time of year, and kind of waiting for some decent grass (mine seems to be growing through really bad).
I feed.... erm... let me think! At the moment it's cucumber, two types of lettuce, coriander, spring greens, fine beans, peppers (green if I can get them), pea shoots. They get the same every day -...
What does/doesn't she eat?
Bramble pig is fussy, and is teeny tiny compared to Hazel. She doesn't really eat any dried food whatsoever. She will eat hay, but she only really loves veg.
I've never had any Mr Pigs!
I only really notice a horrible smell when there is blood in the pee. Pearl absolutely stank. But they are never smell-free.
