Quite frankly, I think it's a good idea to chip all rabbits from pet stores. If the rabbits then got free or people decided to just release them, then at least the owner could be identified.

A lot of breeders are very selfish people. They breed their animals because they want to. They don't give a toss about the amount of animals in rescue or the amount of healthy animals destroyed day...

My friend with the myxi bun said the nose didn't look typical. I'm veering towards syphilis myself and that requires injectable antibiotics, and your other rabbits will need consideration as well.

Did you check the genitals to see if any swelling?

It's important to start treatment as soon as possible. Keeping an eye on it, isn't good enough. Naff vet :(
