Thanks. We've just put it on her food to good effect. Appreciate that advice.
Regarding exercise the idea of keeping her in was to monitor her poos solely.
She'll still get good exercise ☺ but...
Hey,
She's home! Looks aware, eating and pooing.
Vets have three requests which I want to get clarification on here.
1. We have to administer Emeprid. Fine but she's a phenomenally feisty...
Had update from vet.
We have food eaten (bits of broccoli and grass), and more importantly we've got poo.
Signs looking good. They're going to keep her overnight to keep an eye on her and make...
Hey,
Thanks for the reply,
They did manage to get a look in her mouth and said it appeared to be fine without any rubbing against cheeks etc. So that doesn't seem to be an issue,
She's just...
Rabbits currently at the vets having not eaten for c. 9hrs yesterday,
Vets can't get a drip on her or feed her by syringe because she's an absolute nightmare with people (we can only touch or...
Complex is a good word for him. Fortunately we're both adults so quite happy to watch them. Cam and bear were both binkying into each other in the garden this morning which was nice to see.
Pic of...
Yes Babsie ☺
Honestly with him it could be anything lol. We've never been able to stroke him, he's incredibly timid... But cute nonetheless!
Yep... Over the past 18 months we've booked him in at the vets maybe 5 times but only had to take him once. Each of the other 4 times have been similar in that he just isn't happy when we wake him up...
The girlfriend has checked on him and in typical fashion Bear is completely fine.
As I said, he's weird... A bit like a 14 year old kid being woken up at 5am lol.
Thanks as ever for help and...
Girlfriend is able to go home at lunch and check. Fingers crossed, if not she'll whisk him to vets
Thanks all. The girlfriend is asking her work if she can get home at lunch to check. Will keep you posted. Vets near us always have time for emergencies fortunately
Definitely won't wait until tomorrow if he's the same. Hoping the girlfriend can get out of work at lunch to check on him, we both have long commutes though which does make it more difficult.
Last night he was completely fine/normal.
Unfortunately can't confirm he is pooing as we have two rabbits.
I agree with your view, my girlfriend will be back home at 4pm-ish and if he's still...
Hi all,
Our rabbit Bear was lying down, paws in front of him, shaking this morning. He looked a bit grumpy, but that's not massively unusual. He wouldn't come down from the top of the hutch to the...
Hi all,
Having a BBQ tonight, hoping it won't be too Smoky - but obviously it may be. What's the best way to keep the rabbits happy?
I am thinking of putting a curtain round the run to stop any...
They both had their annual vaccinations last week and vets checked and said they were completely fine.
If we:
- Clean daily
- Check for any unusual behaviours
- Have a check for any...
Thanks,
No they aren't big, they just squirm, wiggle, kick and go absolutely mental when we try to pick them up. I think it's because we've never really picked them up and because of that... They...
Hi all,
My rabbits Cam & Bear absolutely despise being picked up and will kick excessively until they are put down, therefore checking their bum for fly strike is difficult.
We clean the...
Thanks all for your help.
Learnt some stuff for next time if it happens again (i.e. bringing home medication). But hopefully it doesn't!
After posting about this, we had an appointment lined up with the vets. About half an hour prior to the appointment he started to eat and go to the toilet again but still looked grumpy. We decided...
Vet wants us to bring him in again to decide best course of action (unfortunately different vets work the weekend shift...).
So taking him in this after again
Have asked for the vet to call us back when they have a free spot. Reception said to bring him in but I'm hesitant to do that if we can administer these drugs at home...
Thanks Zoobec.
Unfortunately it looks like we live in a real black spot for those rabbit savvy vets and the one near us on that site is similar to the vets where we are currently taking him.
