That is helpful thank you. I will continue to try and keep him away but probably isn't the worst thing if he has the odd nibble. He has already and seen no ill effects so probably being overly...

Hi,
my house rabbit Jaspy seems to be quite keen on some flowers (or the leaves) in my garden. I rent the house and didn't plant them but I have identified them as yellow loosestrife.
I'm...
Hi everyone, thanks for your replies.
I dashed off because the rabbit rescue lady phoned back. She said I could take him tonight so thought that was best. It was a bit of a drive so wanted to get...
Sorry yes. I'm in a bit of a panic here. Any idea how old he might be? guess i need to know that before i move forward. I'll get some fresh grass as he will be used to that
Yeah thats the thing, if i could catch him so easily then he would have no chance with a predator.
There is a rabbit sanctuary nearby, I have left them a voicemail.
Hopefully they will be...
So does that mean he is either sick or not a wildie? He's turned around his head isnt buried in corner of the box anymore but pretty motionless. His breathing looks normal though. Ive placed a...
some down the road but it was a quiet little village. very open where i found him. Lots of wild rabbits, a lot of roadkill
this is him

thats a large shoe...
Based on the pic would you say he could be a wild rabbit? I've never seen a wild one that colour so assumed he was a pet or offspring from an escaped pet
Not sure what my next move should be now....
This isnt him....
but looks the same

Phone has died, waiting for it to charge.
I mean he just hid, didnt try to run anywhere. Would a wild rabbit not head back to it's warren?
He's ginger... very light ginger. i'll upload a pic
I was cycling in the country side and a baby bun ran out in front of me. He went to some long grass at the side of the road and hid. Pretty sure he wasnt a wildy as he is fawn/ginger. I did wonder...
Thanks ive had another look with my phone flash. I've took a lot of the underneath hair off and a lot of what I thought was pink and sore is actually just skin. There are patches that look really...
Well its red raw. No actually blood but blood red in spots. Not a mistake ill make again. You can be too gentle and not really get anywhere but obviously over did it.
Thanks for replying, i...
Hi,
I gave my jaspy a long overdue brush today. I normally keep on top of it but decided to give him a good brush. I used the ferminator which is obviously too harsh and now his skin looks red...
Thanks mightymax. You've summed up my thoughts really. Because we know he does have a tooth root issue it could be diverting attention from something else. I'll see what the vet says first,...
Thanks kermit, he's on metacam now and that can only be helping but doesn't seem enough. Will see what the vet says later
Thanks will have a good read of the article
It is his molar teeth affected. That side of his face is swollen/contracted from a previous ear infection. Not sure if that has contributed or cause...
I suspect you may be right. He gnawed a corner to death and has been at other things which he's never shown any interest with before
I will suggest that to the vet - thanks.
I was hoping this...
Hi,
We are really concerned about our Jaspy.
He has a tooth root condition (and associated infection) that's he's been coping with. In fact he's just come off antibiotics after a huge reduction...
Thanks MightyMax,
nearly missed your post. I'll see what my vet comes up with and may very well take you up on your offer if we are still stuck :)
Thanks Jacks-Jane/Bunny Buddy
Both look like good options. I'll ask the vet to check with Crab Lane Vets, could be ideal. Forest Hall looks a good option too if they are geared up for it. I'll...
Excellent thanks. Yep thats not far and I know the area.
Our vet is rabbit savvy but she said they weren't setup for what he needs here. She spoke about the possibility of sending a camera up his...
Hi,
My rabbit Jasper has been struggling with sneezing fits. He has a tooth root problem which is the likely cause but we are not getting great results with the antibiotics we've tried. Our last...
Thanks SJH. I read your post with great interest!! Similar to Jasper except we are only dealing with sneezing, his eyes seem fine! Glad Hector is on the mend!
