Wise Old Thumper
Meet Chibbs :) She's from Burrowed Hearts in Nottingham. Been kept in a hutch all her 5yrs, on her own, although around other bunnies. Here's our new gorgeous girl looking quizzical (album of all photos linked at end):

They're about the same size, but Chibbs is smaller and lighter under her huge amounts of fluff! Her feet are teeny tiny! When they met, it was raining, and Lopsy doesn't much mind the rain, but she's even more waterproof than him! When she got a bit too wet, she shook herself off like a dog and voila, dry! It was brilliant :D

She took 2hrs to come out of the tube into the run: she was unsure of the space, but she went up the tube very soon after I opened the door to it :) Lopsy went straight out and went to go down the tube to the hutch-dog crate area, but it was locked off, poor Lopsy! She spent a lot of time looking around when she did come out, reaching up and touching the blue tarp with her nose, poking her nose at everything, having a good investigate :)

She loves periscoping but if she's concentrating, she's not confident enough yet to do it without support, so a little paw is often resting on something :D

She isn't very food-oriented (yet!): she's a browser not a glutton. She's gotten faster at eating though, and is starting to try and mug Lopsy :) Mum gave them a whole small carrot each yesterday XD She managed pretty much all of the smaller one :) Having said that, night before last at pellets time, Lopsy rammed his nose into her side when he'd finished his (we use a double cat bowl) and was across the windowsill, so she climbed over him to see if there were any pellets in his side XD Then, when they'd both finished, she wanted to jump down but Lopsy was in the way, so she thumped at him, twice, and when he didn't move (he doesn't understand bunny social cues, he's not a very good rabbit!), she humped him so he jumped off so she could jump off and go to the litter tray XD She does groom him a lot though, all over, I haven't seen Lopsy groom her but then he rarely groomed Aboleth (again, social cues!).

Here's the main album on Google Photos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/1pycFHyK4KmAQcCY7 The first four photos are from the first day, which is why Lopsy looks a bit spiky :D The rest are from yesterday.

How wonderful to go from solitary hutch life to sharing so much space with the handsome Lopsy. She seems to be finding her feet well. Thanks for sharing

I hope you don’t mind me mentioning it but your run looks like it might be one of the ones subject to a warning for danger to heads becoming trapped. So you might want to consider attaching mesh to the panels or something. See this post, upsetting images in links from that post. http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/s...Safety-warning-about-an-enclosure-please-read
Always good to share that link :thumb: I think it is, same as the puppy pen panels we've got all round the lawn (which are a bit flimsier). I have considered it, but the most flighty Lopsy and Aboleth got in the run was when they got bramble attached to themselves and there was a distinct preference to head down a tube and hide in it! I have always had a plan to replace it with the wooden one Dad made but various things have prevented me meshing it fully so far! I always kept a good eye on Aboleth when she was new to it (Lopsy grew up in that run) and Chibbs seems...more cautious and less flighty?! :D

Aww she is a little beauty and it's lovely to see her and Lopsy getting on so well [emoji3]

I agree with J&B, she must be in heaven with all that space to explore and run around in as well as having a friend after being on her own for so long.

Glad they are getting along well. I couldn't get the photos to work though.
Yes, there's an issue with Google connecting and relaying the information to the browser. Try the link at the bottom, that should work (if it doesn't, it's usually browser settings).

She was trying to 'help' me clear up today so she's settled in well! XD

I have to say I do hope a lionhead cross hops into my life one day. I just love their punky hairstyles and Chibbs is really rocking her 'do!

Laura was saying Chibbs looks after it all by herself :D I expect I might need to help now she's a bit more open to the elements ;P (Lopsy's useless ).

We love her little white bits too! The rabbit she came in with (who was reported as definitely not her sister but they were practically the same) didn't have them, and we're glad we got Chibbs because she has the better name and the better markings, plus we can actually see her on the windowsill only because of her white bits! It used to be Lopsy who was hard to see if we could only see his behind (looked like a very dark shadow), but Chibbs blends in to the background!
