Red new zealand vs. Vienna blue rabbit

Hello everybunny!

Does anyone have any info of health (teeth, skin, bones...overall health and lifespan) of theese two breeds? Personality? I've ben told that females of New Zealand tend to be more shy.

Or suggestion of other large (not giant) breed?

We are thinking getting a large breed doe, adult to bring in in the spring.

No specific information other than NZ Reds are meant to be very placid. Health wise they are prone to obesity, which in turn causes various health problems.

If buying from a Breeder I’d advise finding one who can provide a two generation history. Some genetic defects can skip a generation, so the Parents of the Baby you buy may have no known problems such as congenital malocclusion, but one of the Grandparents may have had problems.
