Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Bunny has loud stomach?

Bambiandbani

New Kit
Hi. My 1 year old bunny has always had really loud stomach, but she has never reacted to it. I was wondering about megacolon but she isn’t colored like the megacolon bunnies are. She eats a lot of hay, few pellets and little greens. Also drinks a lot of water and moves a lot. Her poops smell really strong, like onion. They are pretty big but usually round. I don’t know what could be wrong... help

Does the noise occur mostly after she has had a drink of water a?

You say that she drinks a lot of water, how much ?

A normal water intake for a Rabbit is 50ml- 100ml/kg/day.

No the noise is always there. And i thinks she drinks a normal amount, it just seems a lot since my other bunny doesn’t drink much.
