Bonding French lop and a small lop (English)

Hi! I have a small lop we think he's English but was rescued and I've never really worried about what breed he was.
We've just adopted a male lop who needs to be neutered before we can try bonding but I've read up that a large rabbit can kill a small one very easily and now I've made myself really nervous about the possibility of that happening. I wouldn't forgive myself if it went that wrong and my Michael got hurt.

Hello and welcome. You may have problems if they are both boys. What sex is your small rabbit?

They are both boys. I have read they are the hardest to bond but my small rabbit was with 2 other boys previously

A true English lop is similar size to a French lop so I would think you have a mini lop

My worry would be if the French lays on the small one.
They don't realise their size
