I swear I just nearly had a heart attack. I went into my housemates room and said is it bad if bunnies bleeding. I had gone and seen bunnies and there was a splat of blood like it had been sneezed out. Turns out it was a girl thing if you see what I mean. Is there any special care I should...

    megazorb (review)

A few months back I asked if anyone had used megazorb as I wanted to change my bunnies and cats to this product. Here is what I have found with it if anyone is thinking about giving it a go: Firstly this stuff looks like the fluff you get out of your pockets when you leave paper in them and...

    burgess supa food

have they chnaged it? The values on the lite food and also the info on the web site seems different, something about a profeed for the bacteria. Also I noticed that the mix says an average rabbit should have 100-150g but the pellets is now 2.5-3% body weight and before I am sure it was 3-3.5%...

I am hopefully at the bottom (hahaha) of the sticky poo problem, but in getting there my poor bunnies are on such strick food atm ;-( I think it was the friendly grass giving me a problem but I have thought I found the problem before now and then no changes and its back to sticky poos. Wilson had his front teeth removed about 6 weeks ago. Hes been checked over since then when he had his jabs last month. I just checked his teeth (front only) and there are two 'teeth' like things (I can see the gums and these are more teeth less gum if you see what I mean) and they are two thin...

How do you know when a bonding isn't working?

How do you know a bonding is failing? I don't want to let it get to the point where the bunnies are scared or hurt. Wilson still seems to just hunch up in a corner and get mounted by the other bunnie. This is 3 days later and a couple of sessions a day (all quite short times). Today she rubbed...

    Bunnie squished like a pancake

New bunnie seems to drop really low next to me when either I stroke her or she comes up next to me. I wasn't sure if this is fear or not but sometimes she lies so flat her legs are all splayed almost in half lazy position, so surely thats good? But even when you stop stroking her she takes ages...

Bonding - no fur flying but...

Ok Now Mrs Wilson came round today. Shes very nervous (not like @ the rescue where she just flopped out). I put her and Wilson into the area in the cats room that Wilson is allowed into but doesn't live in. Wilson flopped out a bit and she still seems nervous. She ate and peed. Wilson sniffed...

    Infections between rabbits

I know some of you have rabbits privately and also rescue rabbits. And I have checked out the info on myxi and VHD infection routes. But I was wondering in real terms what the risk is to bunnies if a person is in contact with pre quarentine bunnies and their own vaccinated bunnies?

    travel baskets

Does anyone use any special carry baskets for their bunnies? I have two cat carriers and want to get a third so I can transport all animals at once (in case of fire) and was just going to get other of the carry cases to avoid confusion but wondered if it was worth going to a specialised case?
