    ruptured tear duct

Hey guys. After suspecting a dental issue I got one of my bunnies Xrayed to find out exactly what was going on. Turns out her teeth are great, but her tear duct on one side has ruptured. I have a specialist vet who is rabbit savy and he suggested monitoring how she copes in regards to...

    Peparing for winter!

This is the enclosure for my 9 bunnies (: As I've not long moved house, this isn't all of their permanent run, half of it is still at my parents! Will hopefully get that dismantled and joined onto this one in the next few weeks. I've begun lining the tops of the runs, the next is the sides...

    What breed is my rabbit?

So, from my recent post earlier today, I figured I should probably find out for certain what breed of rabbit Ronnie is. For a while I thought he was either a Dwarf Fox (cross from a Swiss Fox and a Netherland apparently) or a Jersey Wollie, which I believe is a cross between an Angora and a...

In need of a diet plan and some advice if possible (:

Hey guys! I was doing a general health check of the rabbits this morning and I noticed that one of my rabbits appears to be underweight. Although I haven't actually weighed him, his spine and ribs are quite pronounced. I must admit that I have been slacking on the health checks lately, they're...

She mentioned she was having problems with the most recent lot, the mother isn't reglecting them (though this is her first litter) but she seems to...

    Mett our bunny family (:

Meet Freya, our newest edition to the family! She's a Siamese Sable, approx 3 years old, intact and is a real character. She came from a home who could no longer care for her, so she lives with us now. We'll get her spayed in the summer and hopefully get her bonded with our other girlies...

    Insulation

I'm currently doing up the rabbit shed (new lick of exterior paint etc) and it's crossed my mind a few times about insulation. As it is a bike shed that can get a little drafty, I would want to protect my babies a little more through the winter, but like all of us, I'm on a tight budget. I was...

    Bonding troubles .... :/

I'm having some problem bonding some rabbits. For the sake of this post I shall list the rabbits as A,B,C & D Ok, so originally I had 4 bunnies, A,B,C and a now deceased rabbit who were all living together leaving A,B & C (all spayed females) as a trio. I also had another bonded pair, rabbit D...

    Feeling a little guilty!

We've recently "welcomed" a lot of young foxes in our area which straight away raised my attention for my rabbits and their safety! Luckily, my group of four are in a fox proof enclosure, but our permanent foster bunny wasn't, and was also living on the grass. The only way I could make him...

    Alpha female not longer boss?

This morning I noticed our alpha female (Blossom) had a tiny bit of pulled fur sticking out of her coat. I assumed Skittles had done it as she's got a little bit of a temper and the other 2 are very placid. Well today I actually saw Skittles lunge and Blossom, and Blossom backed off which isn't...

    Dental rabbit + hay

My permanent foster bunny has only recently started eating hay...that is....Alfalfa hay...but he doesn't like the stems, just the leaves, and he doesn't really eat any other hay, even soft meadow hay. He can eat stemed stuff as I've seen him do it, but it isn't often, he wolfs down the leafy...

Best place to buy Alfalfa hay?

Where can I get Alfalfa hay cheapest online? No where in my city sells it (hard to believe but I can't find it anywhere, even at my local P@H)! It's the only hay substitute that my permanent foster bunny will eat and I need to get hold of some more while I'm trying to transfer him to normal...

Available Rescue: Milton Keynes RSPCA - Bruno - male Dwarf Lop

Bruno is a beautiful Agouti Dwarf Lop rabbit. He is 2 years old, has been neutered but isn’t vaccinated as far as we are aware. He was brought to us as an unwanted pet with very little information linked to his past. He has a lovely temperament but is a little timid and not easily trusting of...
