A well respected Exotics Specialist has recommended using paracetamol for pain relief for my rabbit. Although unusual it can prove beneficial in certain circumstances.

I used to give these to my buns. However one of them is prone to gut stasis, so have taken them out of his diet. He's had fewer episodes of GI stasis since. It may be a coincidence, but I don't want to take the risk.

One of my rabbits does it when he's excited. Usually he does one thump for fun and then starts his digging / binkying/ running around. He also thumps when annoyed/ startled.
