Where are all the rabbit savvy vets?

Wow. Do people just not bother taking smaller animals to the vets. So many people own small animals it amazes me there's not more around! I took my rabbit to a vet that picked him by the scruff of his neck and didn't even know how to hold him. Obv never went back there again!

Where are all the rabbit savvy vets?

Brilliant thank you. I didn't think of contacting rescues to see who they use. I've contacted loads of vets that say they look after small flurries but when I've asked about an actual specialist vet they've said they don't have one. It's crazy when you think about how many people own rabbits!

Where are all the rabbit savvy vets?

Anywhere in Hertfordshire I'm willing to travel to if they're a savvy vet.

Where are all the rabbit savvy vets?

Brilliant thank you. St Albans isn't far from me but would be willing to travel to most of Hertfordshire if they're a good vet.

Where are all the rabbit savvy vets?

I phoned my rabbit savvy vet to register my daughters hamster and was told they don't have anyone who specialises in small furries anymore. They confirmed they could deal with everyday stuff but nothing more than the basic problems. I live in Hertfordshire and the couple I used to go to, don't...

    Reassurance needed please

Dont worry, I think most rabbits hate being picked up. My French lop was okay to pick up when he was younger but as he's got bigger he's got more awkward with being picked up. He will allow me to pick him up if he's being naughty and at the vets but that's about it. I used to get pellets or hay...

    Bonding 2 boys advice please

Okay brilliant. I'll give toffee the upstairs apart from the bathroom and my son's room as want to keep them neutral and give Trixie the downstairs.

    Bonding 2 boys advice please

Yeah I was thinking time wise it would be sometime between Feb and April. I might wait until the Easter holidays then I can dedicate some proper time to the bonding. Trixie escaped upstairs yesterday because one of my kids didn't shut the gate properly, he chinned the cage Toffee was in and...

    Bonding 2 boys advice please

Thanks, i had read alot of people wait until after they're neutered but wasn't sure if that was because the rabbit was older than what ours is. The baby has just come away from his siblings so wasn't sure if he would be fine bonding as he's been around other rabbits. I won't worry about their...

    Bonding 2 boys advice please

Hi, I have 2 male rabbits, both French lops. One is 18 months old, one is 9 weeks old. Should I wait until he has been neutered or try bonding them before he starts getting hormones. Would my older bunny be more likely to accept a boy while he's a baby? I want the baby to be a bit bigger before...

    Bonding two male rabbits succesfully

This is great to hear. I've got an 18month old French lop whose a boy and on Sunday brought home a 9 week old girl, had her vet checked and found out it's a boy. I have been told you can get boys to bond but might be a bit more challenging, the vet said take it slow and steady. Sounded like it...

When do lop eared rabbits ears flop?

Haha. How cute. What breed is that bunny? Thank you. My other lop eared rabbit had properly lopped ears by 5 weeks so I wondered how long it took most rabbits.

When do lop eared rabbits ears flop?

I'm getting a lop eared bunny in a few weeks time. It's only 6 weeks old at the moment, one ear has flopped properly, the other one is flopped over onto the same side. When should it flop the right way?

New enclosure now or once bonded?

I'm looking at changing my current rabbits enclosure to a MPH enclosure and getting new things for inside it too. My rabbit is a house rabbit and I want to get him a friend soon. Do you think it would make bonding easier if I introduce new home and accessories once they're bonded so it's not his...

    Is this normal after neutering?

My rabbit was neutered 3 weeks ago and since then his behaviour has been more like it was when he was a young bunny. For example trying to jump up everything like dining table etc. Since November he had calmed down from doing that and was more wary about doing that. Is he likely to go back to...
