Would it be harder than lino? They would still have foamy carpets in the hard wearing areas/sleeping spots, if that makes a difference. Also saw these, and wondered if they might be suitable and easy to swap out to clean...

I use washable rugs in the bits they hang about in, they're pretty good and they love how foamy they are! The lino is just beneficial for the litter tray/hay sweeping properties. Would office type carpet squares be any use, do you think?

There is no stopping him from being humpy unfortunately. Billy has 2 settings: really humpy and extremely humpy. Poppy has spent 2 days sleeping in a tunnel now :( she has such a miserable life with him really. Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk
