    Low blood glucose/insulinoma

Thanks for the vibes guys :) She's doing quite well atm *touches wood* other than getting up at the weekend to her covered in poo, which I suspect is too much fruit to be the cause, you wouldn't think anything was wrong with her. Other than her blood reading 1.9 on the glucometer  Not...

    Low blood glucose/insulinoma

I don't think she would have suffered...the rescue were called by a vet nurse who had handed them over after a client left them with her to be euthanased, & as the vets couldn't see anything obviously wrong with them they called the rescue. She seems to be doing very well just now JacksJane...

Newly bonded pair: Different dietary needs!

This is what we do with our 2  Ari is extremely skinny and now requires a diet which is high in sugar atm. Mr T who is usually sweet man gets very angry & grunts & bites us if she's getting & he isn't so as roxy said give the other something so they don't think they're missing out

    Low blood glucose/insulinoma

She's been fine overnight. I have to admit I'm terrified getting up in the morning incase she's passed away during the night. She's her usual self, constantly begging for her food etc. When we notice her getting a bit off or wobbly we give her jam which helps. I called the vet today but...

    Low blood glucose/insulinoma

She went to see our specialist today. She is needing her teeth done as they are quite bad but due to her low blood glucose he said an anaesthetic was too dangerous for her. So she's home napping on her blanket :) He said her renal values are normal. She has lost a lot of weight and muscle. &...

    Low blood glucose/insulinoma

She's managing to eat her pellets and greens etc ok atm. She has never ever ate hay in the time that we've had her. I've tried different types, hiding treats/in it, readigrass etc. They close at 7pm so I'm starting to doubt they'll get back to me tonight...

    Low blood glucose/insulinoma

Thanks. Possibly 3 days in a row in the vets was not the best idea either :( JacksJane shes pretty wriggly  I hope we get to the bottom of it soon. I've came home from work today to find uneaten caecotrophs, bunny poop up my bathroom door :o & a very depressed, soggy Ari :( she's quite...

    Low blood glucose/insulinoma

We are waiting on a full blood profile from the lab as they can't run rabbit bloods in house, will be going in later today to see if anything back yet. She did have sepsis at the start of last year ? But was treated with abx. I am hoping that when we get to see our rabbit specialist on Wednesday...

    Low blood glucose/insulinoma

Hey guys :) Feel like the only times I come on here is when I am needing help :( The vet now thinks our little Ari has an insulinoma ? Has anyone heard of this ? I think it's pretty rare. She's not been right for a while, I mentioned to the vet that does her acupuncture that I thought her...

    Heart problems

Update Thought I'd give this an update :) So Trebor went to see the specialist today, & he's very happy with him :D I'm so pleased for my big man ! His next check up is 2 months time all going well. Here he is having his morning nap

    Insurance newbie help - HelpUCover?

We use petplan insurance & they've been great :D so don't really know of helpucover personally. As far as insurance policies go whoever you decide to use, make sure you purchase a covered for life policy, this means they will cover a condition for the rest of the pets life, as opposed to a 12...

    Heart problems

It has improved though as it was about 150 last week ! But still :( I'm terrified of going to work incase he's gone when i come home. We're also meant to be going a family holiday with the OH side this year, I really dont want to go now as I dont want to leave Mr T incase something happens to...
