no I had him in an old hutch and Fluffball was being nosey now and wont leave him. taken some bloods and will get them tested by a friend tomorrow to make sure it has nothing nasty.

i take it you have some medical knowledge yourself then? :? if you can take bloods and stuff ;)

yea both parents are doctors and we train race horses as well as having a farm so I was reared like a vet from an early age. I can do most minor things myself as I dont trust anyone else on my pets its not that hard just know your limitations and dont go beyond them unless the animal is going to die anyway unless u act immediatly.

yeah well done you. I must admit after the track record i have had of going to the vets with my bunnys I would love it if i had more basic knowledge! This site saved me a fortune when Gizmo was ill.... the vet told me to feed him on ox bow and it nearly killed him [ he has a very sensitive stomach] Wish there was a bunny specialist vet in Plymouth

Anyway how is the little one doing now and have you give it a name yet :)

were calling her Becks due to his football skills! got a good look and its a her... going to give her a good bath tomorrow to get the urin smell off her but she had a wee hop around the garden and is now tucked up for the night in her hutch beside the boiler.. Yes shes in a 4 foot hutch but its all I have spare and I dont want her moving about much.. Found this odd she is constantly peeing so I have put a litter tray in and since doing so she has just stayed in it?

 so sweet.

Well hope the little becks continues to improve. Strange with sitting in the litter tray:? When we first got gizmo [from a baby bun] he used to sit and sleep in his litter tray and wee in his bed... but he worked it out in the end. :p

I think she is litter trained and stayes there as she is constantly weeing possibly as the rest of the bed is dry and smell free but the litter tray reeks and I have already had to change t 3 times since Sat evening. Our other buns oonly need it changed weekly

Oh the poor little thing. Well done to you for taking her in.

It sounds like she may need some surgery - she may be leaking because of a little tear perhaps?

She really does need to see a vet (not the one who told you to wring her neck) as she could be bleeding internally.

I think the small hutch is better while she's getting better as you don't want her moving about too much so that her little leg will heal.

Bless her and bless you, what a kind soul.

Please do take her to be seen by a vet though.

Well done for rescuing her. I would take her to another (rabbit-savvy) vet as soon as possible to check her injuries and get some more pain relief. You could ask on here, if anyone could recommend a rabbit-savvy vet in your area?-Sue:wave:

ps - "Hugo's There" has years of experience with disabled rabbits and might be able to give advice if you send a pm?

well done for taking her in. you could phone the rabbit welfare fund and they will tell you who your nearest rabbit savy vet is. good luck.

Sorry but I am now sure this is a wind up.... again. A new kit that can take their own rabbits blood and has a 'friend' that can test it? Come on people, take the gullible stickers off your heads

thank-you Lucy- I hope you're right.

I would rather think that, than think some poor rabbit has suffered/is suffering so much.

I worried myself sick last night about that rabbit:cry:-now have a splitting headache through stress n lack of sleep. then worried about Hugo's there being upset (as I'd suggested Ronnie contact Hugo's there because they have disabled and incontinent buns).
I must admit I wondered that a rabbit could survive such abuse:cry: without dying of shock and if the injuries were that terrible whether pts (not by wringing its neck as suggested by vet)by another rabbit-savvy vet would be kindest?.

Anyway - i am not going to look at this thread again and will go away with your thought that it is a wind-up. (yes - unfortunately i admit i am gullible :oops:when it comes to hurt animals or children:( )-Sue

Vibes sent to any bunny who is poorly at the moment xxx.

Ronnie, I would seriously think about changing your vet. Any vet who says they will wring a rabbits neck, in my opinion, shouldn't be practising veterinary medicine. I know for a fact that in the area that I live in, even wild bunnies with myxi are given an injection.

I am not joking if u want Ill take pics of the injuries and the rabbit. I have had animals all my life and just because I am new on the Forum does not mean that I know less than u! I cane on here for some advice but meybe I should not have bothered. The vetwho looks after the farm will test the bllod as it is a regular thing we have to do with the horses to ensure they are not being doped but they do not look after small animals. Chris has said she will have a look next time she is in the area. think what ulike but dont call me a liar. right to prove it I'll take a few pics so set your mind at ease.

Ronnie, please dont take pics:cry:

I believe you and I think anyone who takes this bun on and offers it the care you have rather than watch it to be kicked to death must have a heart.

Im so glad you found this little bun and are going to keep it and look after it :) . But Then evil little :censored: that did that to her should be shot

thankyou for your pm

Ronnie- I did believe you but unfortunately there ARE many wind-ups on here from people who want to upset and they invariably start with someone new, so please don't take offence.

All everyone on here wants, is to help rabbits and I applaud anyone (including you)who rescues a sick or injured rabbit.

Please don't send me pics -as I said -I lost enough sleep last night with your description of the poor rabbits injuries.(which I'm sure was not intended but I do get upset with any stories of rabbit injuries)

In any case pics don't prove anything. If this had been a wind-up then someone could easily have got pictures of a badly injured rabbit. It will only cause further distress to many-and I'm sure you wouldn't want that as you must have been very upset yourself?

Hugo's There has much experience of rabbits with injuries and temporary or permanent incontinence and could possibly help you.-Sue

here are a few pics one of Beck after she sniffed the lens one of a skinned leg and he last of her leg that she dragges. I have worse ones if you need more proof. TBH I am thinking i would have been better off not coming on here as i did not like having to do this.

Lucy. if you are really still unconvinced, I'll sent u the really nasty ones to have a look at if u like. one thing I am not a liar. and just because I am more skilled with looking after animals than yourself then I apologise....Ps I think your cruel dressing your dogs up like dolls if you want to get into cheap shots.
