I'm thinking about taking in rescue hedgehogs. My two buns are vax'd, but are there any specific risks I should be aware of?
I havent yet decided where to keep the hogs - probably in the garage well away from the rabbits over the winter, but in the spring I'm wondering if I could put them in the rabbit run to start their release programme. I'm looking at taking in one or two underweight youngsters to feed up over the winter as I dont have the experience to take on sick ones.
This all started cos the local hogs seem to keep finding me in moments of distress- an underweight one last Dec, and a sick one collapsed on my lawn last month with flystrike/ticks etc which didnt survive after I took it to the vets. Plus I have loads of slugs which I'd like to get rid of.
