Do you need to take your bunny...

Young Bun
when looking for a mate?

Now henry has had is op, we are now looking at getting him a ladyfriend. Is it advisable to take him with us when we go looking to see if they will bond? Never bonded bunnied before so this is all new. I have a couple of animal sancturies nearby, but not ones specific to bunnies. Would it be best to go somewhere like Briars Patch (think thats my nearest) or try the sanctuaries first?

Sorry for all the questions but want to so it right

its best to visit first and then if you find something your interested in, you'll have to apply.. and homechecks will need to be carried out...

once those are passed, you will then get to try to bond your bun x

Most animal sanctuaries unspecific to rabbits do not offer specialised bonding services so your best bet would be to go for a rabbit specific rescue.

Check the available bunnies on RU or search the rescue list and give them a ring to see if they have a suitable female who may match your bun in temperment....they will disscuss their adoption procedures with you in detail on the phone......as all rescues operate different policies.
