VHD vaccine, post injection lump, question!

Ozzy'sMummy

Is it normal for there to be a lump at the site of injection? It's hard and sort of in between the shoulder blades.

Thanks in advance from a very paranoid bunny mummy

Yes, a local skin reaction is possible. Just keep an eye on it as sometimes a sort of blister forms and if the skin breaks down you need to make sure the area remains clean. Usually the lump just disappears over the period of a week or so

Thanks Jane :). I'll keep an eye on it.

I was dubious about him having it as he has slight runny eyes but the Vet thought he was well enough and today he is eating fine and is happy :).

One of my Frenchies ALWAYS gets a lump at the injection site. But it doesn't ever seem to bother her, and goes away quite quickly.:D

Archie had a huge lump after his and I was worried about him, but it didn't bother him and eventually disappeared
