  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Help needed - peeing related

Sandra

Warren Scout
Two weeks ago we spayed our bunny Waffles - before the spaying she had recently started peeing outside the cage on our wooden floors and my boyfriend was not happy... (Our bunnies walk around free in our apartment and just use the cage as litter box). The spaying went just fine and she is back to normal but she is still peeing here and there on the floors, and she has chosen one corner in particular where she pees... we tried putting a small litter box in that corner but then she just sat on the edge of it and peed on the wall behind it...How can I make her stop peeing in that one corner and go back to the cage??? We have also tried spraying the corner with stuff that smells bad but she ignores it...

Help please!

I found it easier to litter train with big litter trays, the ones you get for cats :D These ones

Also putting some nice yummy hay in a hay rack next to the tray so they can munch on it while they use the toilet is a good idea :D
