View Full Version : Rabbit Rehome Poster

Firstly, I want to apologise because I should have sorted this ages ago. No excuses, I suck :?

Secondly, I've sat down a few times to sort this but I really can't pick my favourite. So, I've created a poll and you can pick instead. The posters to choose from are here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v61/tamdesign/posters/?start=all

I'm looking for one that would catch your eye when you go past, has a clear message about what Rabbit Rehome is about (encouraging people to adopt a rabbit) and explains what they should do if they're interested (visit RR/a local rescue). It also needs to look good printed off on a home printer.

So take a look and cast your vote. I'll leave the poll up for 5 days to let everyone vote.

They're all very good Tamsin. Have you considered making, say, five available for people to print off and display in different areas.

I like Poster 19 the best I think, cos it shows a pair of rabbits and I think lots of people don't realise you can keep them in pairs, and it highlights the high number of rabbits in rescue.

I also like Poster 16 as it grabs attention of people who are thinking of buying a rabbit and I also like Poster 29 as again it's an attention grabber.

I'd be more than happy to display all three posters around our local towns :)

I like poster 29 as it caught my eye the best

16-07-2007, 03:56 PM
Yes, I think that's a good idea. I'll put the top few on RR and then people can pick. There might be one you think would work better in a pet shop and one in the vet or something.

It's RR's 5th birthday in September so it would be nice if we could go crazy and get posters and publicity everywhere :)

There are toooo many to chose from. I love the pics of the bunnies from no 3, quite like no 19 as well, but settled for no 24.

I voted 29 as it is attention grabbing, plus being black and white would print off well, I think 32 is really good as well.

16-07-2007, 04:11 PM
\I think 3 and 30 are very good.
I'd be happy to print more than one design though and stick em everywhere!

16-07-2007, 04:12 PM
Is this from the competition everyone entered?

16-07-2007, 04:37 PM
Oh too many to choose from.....3, 19, 29, 34:?

16-07-2007, 04:44 PM
i like 19 best...i viewed them all on one page first of all, tehn looke dmore clsoely at teh ones where the colour grabbed my attention.

having a pair of buns i think is good, as most peopel think of rabbit like cats or dogs,a nd will just take in teh one.

16-07-2007, 04:53 PM
i like: 29, 32, 20, 19, 3, 1

16-07-2007, 05:00 PM
they are all really good, Cant you pick say the top four so there are different kinds going out to different places? also if people see a couple of different posters around it might make them stop and think more!:)

oooh 2 many to choose from:lol:

16-07-2007, 05:02 PM

These are great, well done :)

19 is my favourite - it's eye-catching, cute, the website address really stands out, and it gets the 'bunnies in pairs' message over clearly. :D

32,33, 20, 29 and 19 - but I only voted once and that was for 20 ! lol... but I think they are all pretty good

16-07-2007, 06:17 PM
oh, So many to choose from. I think the ones with more writing on them would work better in say a vets where people are waiting so stop to read things, I thought (24, 16, 30, 09 etc). But the short and sweet ones are better for else where.

I voted for 19, but it was close with 34, 03 and 01.

16-07-2007, 06:38 PM
What a decision!! I like them all but I voted for 19. I agree with what other people say that it depends on where the poster it put as to which one is best. :D

16-07-2007, 08:17 PM
I voted 29 as I like it when will we be able to print them off and use them

16-07-2007, 08:40 PM
Tamsin, I can see why you had trouble choosing!! There's so many good ones!!

I ended up going for number3, 20 was an exceptionally close 2nd

Well done everyone who entered:D :thumb:

30 wins it for me, clear, consice, bold letters and the bunny is soooo cute! :D

18-07-2007, 07:24 PM
Phew, it's quite close, any more votes?

18-07-2007, 07:47 PM
I really liked 32 as it doesn't have many words but gets a powerful message across...but as has been said, I think more than one would be good. Something like 32 would be useful somewhere with a passing audience who are likely to glance and absorb, whereas one with more words may be better in a vets waiting room when people are just sat staring at the wall waiting for their appointment.

Is it one vote each, Tamsin? I've shortlisted three and Maria has different ideas!

18-07-2007, 08:08 PM
I voted 30 duno why put it caught my eye!

18-07-2007, 08:49 PM
very good work, please please chose 19 - eye catching and informative:bunny:

Yep, one vote per person. If Maria wanted to post her vote here I'll add that to the total as your sharing an account :)

Okay here is a list of my comments on the ones that really stood out...:D

Poster 29 - the massive title catches the eye straight away. Small text doesn't work. Pic and wording brill.

Poster 32 - very hard hitting but with such a cute bunny! Looks very professional too.

Poster 30 - is eye-catching and very professional but needs to say more about not buying from a breeder or petshop. Then it would be fab.

Post 27 - looks really good love that photo - I couldn't read the text as it was too small tho (my old eyes). The title should be bigger text to grab people.

Poster 20 - Awwwwww I just want to hug him!!!! Very good.

Poster 9 - my favourite!!!:D

OOps just spotted POSTER NO.3 - that is now my favourite!!! :D

18-07-2007, 09:36 PM
did anyone spot theo ? :D

I vote for the "Idea" of poster 26, so I picked #26, but the most eye catching poster is #20, as that bunny is adorable.

The idea of Poster #26, having the rabbit at the background, and yet you still have the space on the foreground is brilliant.

I'll go w/ the poster of #20 using the idea of #26, that way, you can fit more words on the poster.

A few things:

1) because the name of our web site is so long, we should use capital on the final poster, I notice some posters has it, and some don't. i.e., "RabbitRehome.org.uk" instead of "rabbitrehome.org.uk"

2) "Can you offer a permanent, loving home for a rabbit" is too long. Over here locally in the SPCA, they use a very brilliant line "Will love for food", and that line in conjunction w/ a adorable looking rabbit, like poster #20 speaks volume

That's a good idea, it makes it easier for people to read quickly and remember.

Are you going to use the winning poster exactly or modify it?

I like the images on some and text on the others.

19-07-2007, 05:36 PM
Well, I'd fix the web address. Other than that I don't plan on making major changes. I guess it depends on the poster :) I'll add the top 2/3 to the site so people have choice depending where they are putting it.

When the competition results are announced, will we get names for the people who have made the posters. Some rescues may be interested in contacting the designer to see if they would be happy to slightly alter the poster so they can use it for their rescue.

I know one rescue who might like to do this, there are lots of lovely designs and ideas which could be useful to help rehome rabbits whom are in rescues. Obviously the designer doesnt have to agree to this if they dont want to.

19-07-2007, 07:31 PM
I can put up the username from forum members but I don't think I can publish other peoples emails without permission. I'd be happy to forward an email on to the designer in those circumstances though :)

Usernames is fine, that way any rescues can approach individuals by pm.

22-07-2007, 02:54 PM
I like #20 because it shows the vunerability of a bun best somehow, and it matches the written message best to me.
