if you dont mind.
my 3 girls were spayed yesterday and 2 are fine but fifi is still not right, she struggled a bit after the GA but they allowed her home as they know im pretty hands on.
anyway-ive bought probiotic, have given a little CCF and offered a bit of manuka honey on her lips as she likes that. i have 'forcefed' a little dandelion leaf but shes not eaten much at all. i have been out and got some herbal timothy hay to tempt her but shes not fussed , and some organic veg puree and a medicine syringe and have given her a little of that but she was a bit reluctant. she is nice and alert though.
she has only passed a little dark sticky poo but very little and no formed poos.
anyway heres the thing- i rang the vets and have said that if she hasnt eaten much or pooed properly by morning we will take her in but they agreed with what i was doing and i dont want to stress her any more than is absolutely necessarry. its just the nurse said thet when they opened her up she had slightly enlarged intestines and was very gassy so thats where their concern lies.
i just wanted to ask- does this just mean that they are concerned about stasis or are there any other risks? im watching her like a hawk poor thing but want to make sure im looking out for all the right signs.
