Jane I really don't know what to say except how sorry I am that little Cal lost his fight for life. You did absolutely everything you could, and it was the best choice for Bobbie, she couldn't have raised another litter.

You could have gone for the PTS option at the start, but you chose the unselfish thing and braved a handrearing option. We all knew there was only a very slim chance, but you were willing to risk the heartbreak and sadness of possibly losing them in order to give them at least a fighting chance. That's exactly what you did. That's why you're such an amazing lady.

I really had not reckoned on getting so very close to such a tiny Kit like Cal
He could not see or hear me but everytime I touched him he moved toward me and after each feed I'd get milky kisses. I so wanted at least one Bobleteenie to live but it wasnt to be :cry: :cry:

This is Cal, I thought I'd write to thank you for the kindness you showed me and my brothers and sisters while we were with you. I arrived here and they were all waiting for me, Hal, Val, Sal and Lal and took me straight to our new bunny mummy up here who is called Jane as well. She's a little dutch and she told us she went to the bridge having babies of her own. I know you didn't want me to go and I didn't really want to leave you but I wasn't well enough to stay any longer. Say hello to our mummy Bobbie from us and to our older brothers and sisters too. I've heard you're going to keep them all which is really nice of you.
I learnt when I was with you that you loved me even more when I covered you with milky kisses! I do that to our mum here too and she is really looking after us all. Please carry on looking after our mum and brothers and sisters, I'll always remember your kindness to us and Janice too. Must go, my eyes have opened now and I'm off exploring a meadow with Hal, Val, Sal and Lal.

My 4 Day old baby Guinea Pig, who's mother couldn't care for him passed away this morning. I was handfeeding him but it wasn't enough :cry:

I am so sorry. The important thing is that you tried, you did your best. Sometimes things are not meant to be and we do not know when we set out what will happen. It is so hard not to get attatched when they are so dependent on you for their basic needs. Take care knowing that you did your best.
