Scottish rabbits

Have any of you Scottish peeps heard about the problems Pet-Tacular rescue are having with an influx of 18 rabbits in northern Scotland?

Apparently they've had an offer from a large rescue organisation to put all the rabbits to sleep  But obviously don't want to resort to that.

I got this forwarded email from Animal-lovers-unite-uk on Thursday....

I've just been speaking to a lovely man who due to an awful lot of
circumstances, mostly beyond his control has ended up with 18
rabbits
he's unable to keep.

Another rescue organisation - much larger than us - has offered to
put them to sleep for him, the man was horrified (obviously) and
threatened to release them into the wild - now I don't think he was
serious, I think he was just panicked and angry but obviously we
don't want to encourage this sort of irresponsible (and illegal)
behaviour.

So Pet-Tacular has found it's self in a bit of a position, we need
to
help this man and the rabbits because that is what we are about, but
unfortunately fundraising has been very disappointing as of late, in
addition we have seven rabbits looking for new homes right now, one
who's quarentined, one who's reserved and two resident bunnies - the
18 will be coming in next Friday.

This means if we can't rehome any bunnies we'll have 29 rabbit
mouths
to feed - a rather expensive job!

If you can offer a home to one of the rabbits we have in the centre -

before Friday if possible please can you contact me on 07862 239 166.

If you can donate food, hay or straw even a wee bit please, please
do - Pet-Tacular NEVER puts a healthy animal to sleep but keeping
them alive, healthy and happy is a very expensive business!

If you have a car would you consider doing a carboot for us? We'll
even provide you with the carbooty and letterhead so you don't have
to pay to get in, all you'll have to do is give up your Sunday
morning and help improve the lives of these bunnies.

Thank you for reading.

I have called them and left a message, waiting on them calling me back to see if I can do anything to help! but at the mo I have 31 rescue, 5 boarders and 7 of my own, so no room really!! but I can maybe find some foster Mums ;)

You could suggest they list their rabbits on RR, we don't have many scottish bunnies listed :)
