question about rehoming from a rescue from far away

what happens if you want to rehome a bun from a rescue which isn't local ? with regards to home visits and the like ?

Some rescues appeal on here/other forums for a homecheck that's not local, so a 'regular' bunny owner is given a checklist and reports back to the rescue who then decides if the owner passes or not.
Often they'll ask for vet references too
