You just want to be careful because a wardrobe will probably be treated with some sort of preserver that probably won't be animal friendly.

Hello!
I've a Flemish giant too, and he's free in the house. But I think your wardrobe is large enough, but the wood may have been varnished, which could be dangerous if he nibbles at it.;)
Giants are usually peaceful bunnies who will enjoy their hutch, but they also need exercise, so your friend could let him free once or twice a day, so that he could jump and run (very funny sight! ).
I hope she'll have a great time with her giant!:D

Not sure if a hutch is really the best accomedation for giants, if she already has a shed in mind I think she'd be best off getting an permenent run attached to the shed. I think a giant would really need about 10sqft to get enough exercise. Head height is another thing to consider, they need to be able to stand on their hind legs. I'm sure there are some pictures of good accomedation on here somewhere....

Could she have it as a house bunny?

[pedant mode] I reckon you probably mean 10ft square not 10ft square Lou, big difference...one is 10ft*10ft, the other is 2*5 or 10*1 or 2.5*4 etc...

I do agree though, I don't think a hutch is any place for a giant rabbit. If you consider that it will be about the size of a small to medium dog, or an average sized cat, that should give you some context as to what would be a reasonable size to keep it in...

We have considering adopting a flemish sometime in the future and we have discussed our housing arrangements and what we though a flemish would be happy with.. I agree that a hutch isn't a great place for a flemish to spend all its time in.. I would suggest a large house of some kind to retreat to, but letting the flemish free roam as a house rabbit (er, or is this outside you plan on keeping her?). For a bun that big, I would have to vote a house roamer for sure, with a cozy place to tuck in at, and a couple of litter pans.
