Hi

We got a Lion's Mane rabbit from an aquaintance of ours due to an family illness. We have had the rabbit for 2 months now, and everything was going great until about a week ago. The rabbit was useing her litter box inside her cage and now she is wetting and pooping all over everything. We use to be able to let her out of her cage to play 3 to 4 times a day and now we can't do that because of the same problem. She is as well not allowing us to pick her up very much and she is digging and occasionally biteing. Nothing has changed, not one thing. Please, please, please help.

Sounds like shes reached sexual maturity ! :D Get her neutered and you will find shes a lot calmer and easier to litter train too ;)

I'd agree with that! How old is she? Getting her spayed will most certainly calm her down, and sort out the 'territory' issues.

I have no idea how old she is, but she doesn't seem very old, and she has grown a bit since we got her. Anyone have any idea how much it cost to get her fixed?

I think it varies as to where you live but i had Daisy done 2 weeks ago and the actual spaying cost about £55 but it ended up being close on £100 by the end because she refused to eat and poop after, but im glad i had it done and she does seem happier.

What area do you live?, costs vary from vet to vet but if we knew what area you live then someone on here could give you an idea

If you are in the US you might find it difficult to find a competant vet for spaying her - shop around for one who has attended small animal conferences as rabbits are very delicate. :)
