  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I think its hard to introduced two boys who are not litter mates. Having said that, I note Jay from Ebony Eyes has recently introduced some bunnies and I think their were 3 males and 1 girlie. I wouldn't attempt it myself, but maybe someone who has been successful will give you some advice.

How old is each bunny?

Hi Raine,

Thanks for your reply, i just noticed my previous post said her daughter had gone off the bunny 10 years ago! typo there! sorry!

Max is about 3 and the new bunny is 8 months i think?

Just go about it the same way you would with a girl boy or two girls. I tmay take a little longer as after all they are boys  but it's not usually any harder. There are lots of forum member who have bonded unrelated boys, i havn't i have a pair of boys in a trio but they are brothers

I have 4 unrelated boys in my group of 9.:D Long as both are neutered & you take it really slowly, just do the same as bonding a boy/girl pair:D
