Bobbie + The Bobleteenies- 29th June- Cal U/D-1615hrs- HE'S GONE

Jack's-Jane

Wise Old Thumper
Bobbie has been on abx for almost 3 weeks for severe Snuffles. During this evenings check up (listening to her lungs) I have detected a SEVERE heart arrythmia  It is by far the worst I have ever heard
Bobbie is also relapsing re the snuffles, despite the abx
I will speak with Christobel tomorrow re weaning the Boblets NOW as I do not think Bobbie will cope for many more days. As Rabbits always do, Bobbie is hiding just how poorly she is and is still eating well. However, since her nest building epic at the weekend she has been very lethargic.

OMG this is utterly heartbreaking

How awful... she's done such a great job with the Boblets. So sorry you have to go through all this, Jane. x

I am SO sorry to hear about poor Bobbie.   I really hope that there is something that can be done to help her. Big hugs to you.

Jane, i am so sorry to hear this bad news about bobby. What is heart arrythmia, im guessing its an irregular heart beat, but i dont know what this means in bunnies.

Yes, it is an abnormal heart rhythm. What it means depends on what is causing it and to find that out she would need a full cardiac work-up-bloods, Chest X-ray, U/S of heart + ECG. A specialist referal would be needed. My last quote from Bristol for just the consult and diagnotics was £800-£900. That was about 3 years ago so it'd be more now.

Even if a diagnosis were to be established there still may be no 'cure' or effective treatment.

She really deserves a chance to live peacefully and in lxuxury with you.

Well even if she can have a few good months where she is NOT being bred from, living in a tiny wire crate getting poo'd and wee'd on whilst nursing Boblets it will be a blessing.
One thing is for sure, Bobbie will NOT be spayed, she would not survive a GA

Jane

We know you will help Bobbie by giving her the best possible life she can possibly have. Thanks to you and Theo, there are 19 bunnies who have a better life than they would have had.

I have spoken with Christobel and she advises that Bobbie should be removed from The Boblets. This has now taken place.
PLEASE keep the 'no more baby Boblets vibes' coming.

Janex
