My dear Comfrey Cat....it has been about 7 years since you passed to the bridge, and now we are adopting Boo, you are in my mind more than ever.
Mum and I bought you from a pet shop, and although they said you were 8 weeks old, I think you were younger...you were so tiny, and loved to suck on our clothes! You had such a cute little face and were always up to mischief! You were a beautiful tabby, with the most amazing markings I have ever seen.
You were never a cuddley cat, always very independent, but you knew when I was ill or sad and would cuddle up to me and make feel better.
I regret not being older when I owned you and knowing what I know now. We never had you neutered or vaccinated, as my mum didn't believe in it, and when I left home to move in with Jay, you stayed with mum.
I didn't see you every time I went back home, and I was shocked by how thin and ill you looked when I popped in months later.
We took you to the vets that evening, knowing in my heart that it would be the last time I saw you. You had contracted FELV or FIV, and I know that if you had been neutered and vaccinated you might still be here.
I am so, so sorry my gorgeous boy. I promise that Boo will be loved and looked after in your memory, and I will NEVER forget you.
Please forgive me.... I love you, and hope we meet again some day.
