Do rabbits play with water?

Do rabbits like water? I am wondering about putting a shallow dish in their run when it is hot. Would they use it like a bird bath?

My rabbits don't like water at all, If the accidently put a paw in their water bowl they are kicking their back paws wildly :lol:

Betty will quite happily step in the water bowl and not even notice, I don't think she plays in it though. :?

I seem to remember reading a long time ago that water bowls can be useful for lop rabbits in hot weather as they can dangle the tips of their ears in it to cool them. However not sure if this is sound advice or if there is an alternative body part that non lop rabbits can dangle in it:lol:
