  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

ok so before you all shoot me down.......iv now had charlie for a week and wethink she mite be pregnant wev notices her teats have appeared and she is nesting.......i cant help tht she is pregnant as i say i have only had her a week yesterday....her previous owners told me she had never been with a male rabbit but coming from them i dont no what to believe....if she is pregnant and is nesting how long before the day comes

i believe from what i have read on here that its imminent - the nxt 48 hours or so. It could be a phantom one? Fingers crossed for you

shes 8 month old.....i hope it is phantom......iv just discoverd a massive poo i mean the size of i dont no wat it was easy a inch hi and wide i dont know how she parted with it at all

Usually if a pregnant rabbit makes a nest the arrival of the babies is imminent. Some even construct their nests after the babies are born. Whilst some people will tell you that babies tend to arrive at night, all the ones I have had have arrived during the day light hours.

Hopefully this is a phantom pregnancy.
