Polo and Oscar are on a 10-day coure of baytril, i have also been given 10 sachets of pro lapsomething... probiotic thingy and it doesnt say when to give them it, as there is 5 days supply... do i give them it the first five days, every other day or the last 5 days? Thanks

I would expect that pro/prebiotics shouldn't be given at the same time as Baytril - as it's an antibiotic and would just kill off the pre/probiotics...
I'd give them the sachets when the Baytril course has finished.
I'm just guessing here, wait for Jane to reply - she'd know :D

You need to give a probiotic every day that a Bun is on abx and for 2-3 days after the course finishes.

Pets at Home sell a tub of "Probiotic" too - only about a fiver for a tub that will last you ages. Handy to have around too!

Its also helpful to offer probiotics to bunnies who are stressed, have undergone an anasthetic, are taking antibiotics, have suffered a gut stasis problem, are not good eaters and those that suffer from snuffles or respiratory problems.

I also believe they are useful during a moult.
