I know that rabbits have two forms of poop and that they eat the one that they only poop once a day. Yeah that was confusing but you understand. Anyway to the point. Lilly has been eating her normal poop... is that normal? Sorry to say poop, lol.

Some Rabbits do eat a few of their hard poos.
What are you feeding Lilly?

Hay, and then pellets, but she mostly eats the hay.

How old is she?
You could start to gradually introduce some fresh veg daily. A small amount to start with. Maybe some more variety in her diet will reduce her hard poo consumption.

She's only 6 weeks. I have read that is too young to feed them veggies. Correct me if I'm wrong.

How long have you had her? If she had veg whilst still with her Mum then she can continue to have them. At 6 weeks of age she should only have just been weaned :?
If she's never had veg then I'd hold off introducing them until she is about 10 weeks of age

As she's still supposed to be with her mum at 6 weeks, maybe she's feeling some deficiency with being weaned too soon? I wouldn't worry too much about her eating both poops - it won't hurt her. Might be something she would learn from mum again.

Is there a milk substitute that can be fed to baby rabbits anyone? I doubt she needs veg at her age.

She is totally adorable :D

Yes I found out later she shouldn't be away from her mom, but when I got her I went and picked her up and she wasn't even with her in the cage anymore. She had been eating pellets before then, not sure how long before then. I think she is adjusting fine. She eats plenty and poos and drinks and all of the things she is supposed to be doing. She binky's A TON when she's out of her cage. (which is quite a lot by the way). The only odd thing she does is eat her poo, which seems to be very ocasionally, of course I don't watch her 24 hours a day, I don't know if there is a milk substitute, but I'm assuming that there would have to be, as sometimes people are forced to hand rear them? I will look into that.

Plus I know I take better care of her then the people that had her. Their bunnies were properly fed and all that, but they just didn't get any love or attention :( And trust me, Lilly is so spoiled!!

Thank you for the compliment!

If she's eating and pooing normally (albeit with a bit of eating hard poo!!) I would NOT give her any milk substitute. It is likely to do more harm than good at this stage
You could add a probiotic to her drinking water as at 6 weeks her gut flora will not be fully established.

Okay sounds good. Thankyou. :thumb: I will continue to keep an eye on her. She is eating the other poo she is supposed to, since I never see any of those. And she goes potty and such normally. I go through her litter box when I clean it out. Gross I know. However I would rather have dirty hands then a sick bunny. You understand:lol:
