Poppy is almost 6 and has not been spayed. Her last lover, Benjamin passed on just over a month ago, and I was hoping to have her paired up with a male from a rescue. After seeing on here that both sexes should be neutered before trying to bond them, I asked my vet if Poppy could be done and he thinks she is too old. Would I have a problem now in getting a mate for her from a rescue centre. She bonded really well with her other mates and it would be nice for her to have the company of another gentleman.

I got a neutered boy for my unspayed girly from a rescue with no problems, I just had to explain the situation and my vet was more than happy to talk to the rescue about why she hadnt been spayed yet
