Malting

pirate appears to be malting, is this normal for rabbits? as ive only ever had one other bunny which started to shed furr.
if it is normal, is there a good way to get rid of the loose furr other than brushing so that it doesnt go all over my clothes and carpets?

Rabbits can moult up to 4 times a year, alternating with a small moult then a big one. Indoor buns can moult constantly.

Giving the buns a good massage and brush outside on a windy day gets rid of a lot of loose hairs but nothing stops it sticking to your clothes, your eyeballs, your mouth, your nose, your hair, that's bunnies for you! :wink:
