That is great!! Im planning on making something simailar in the summer - if you dont mind me asking how much has that cost you to build?

Obviously i want the cheaper option  I dont want to make one costing me £200 when i could buy one for £150 :D

Im impressed. Are you building it yourself? Why am I surprised that women can do carpentry?

I am really excited - can't wait to see Polly and Sybil when they go in and start exporing it :thumb: :bunny: :rabbit2: :thumb: :D

It's my husband and his dad who are actually making the hutch

Not sure of exact cost as yet but it's quite a specialised hutch, so not going to be cheap. £200 would probably just about pay for all the timber but then all the fittings are brass to avoid rusting and the locks are pretty high security too, so not cheap.

All the hinges, screw heads and locks are hidden to avoid any tampering. The "bedroom" part is double skinned and insulated with adjustable vents for summer time cooling. The whole thing measures 7 feet wide by (a little over) 2 feet deep and 5 feet tall on two levels. There is also going to be a door on the side which will lead to a 6 * 2 * 3 run 8) :thumb: :D

It's looks great, very well made and sturdy. Decent timber is expensive, but will well outlast cheaper flimsy hutches and be worth the investment :)
