Who wants to be normal
Not sure I'd want to be so desperate to be unique as to place false free ads to get my kicks though :?

Is there a spy among us??

Its just the photos-they really dont look like they were taken in this country.... :?

Sorry, I meant I agreed with you, as in I personally dont understand the mentality of why someone would do that, but that its entirely probable :( as there are real wierdos out there...terrible with words sometimes (well quite often!  )

The photos do look strange, and it is odd they are so blurred. i did e-mail them yesterday but had no response as yet :?

Hiya, a newbie here - was disturbed by the ad, even more by the reply I got  :

Here has what's been posted on the thread in Rabbit Welfare:

owner has emailed me back with a list of breeds he has got, at least 30 different types of bunnies a few he mentioned are.....
european rabbit
african savannah hare
alaskan hare
berrington hare
antelope jack rabbit black tailed rabbit
do these breeds actually exist ???
he told me the farm was in dublin have emailed him again and had no reply

I am more and more suspicious that this really is someones idea of a 'joke'

The map given with the ad' is of Cornwall BUT with some made-up places on it...
I hope it is just some dipstick and not a REAL situation.

The Alaskan Hare is also known as an Arctic Hare. Dont think the Berrington Hare exists, Jack Rabbits are native to the USA

Here is the LEGEND that is the African Hare http://www.dancinghare.com/africa/

All VERY odd........... :?

Nope..the more I look at the pics and think about it , I'm pretty sure it is a hoax. The list of rabbits available look as if it's been lifted from some internet site. Surely for research purposes the same breed of rabbit would be used to give a fair trial, and I hardly think some of the more obscure breeeds mentioned would be suitable for meat rabbits.

Can someone please explain why they feel the photos are a hoax :? OK the guy looks swarthy and the couple loading the van look Oriental but there's an awful lot of migrant workers here in the UK (remember Chinese cockle pickers in Morecambe/ Portugese farm worker at Bernard Matthews farm etc.) sorry, but I'm just not getting it :?

There are just too many 'oddities' about the whole thing. I am also aware of some other issues that I cant post on RU. But I really do not believe this ad' is genuine.
