  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

All my girls are a bit sneezy, Twinkle obviously very sneezy, Sugarplum occasionally sneezy and i've just caught Caramel sneezing too  :( Both the boys seem fine though :?

Have you checked them out with the vet? or are you waiting to see if its real sneezes *as sometime my bunny make the odd sneeze noise but its not sneezes* hope that makes sense and your babies are ok xx

I'm waiting for Twinkle to finish the depocillin to see if it makes any difference before i take the other 2. Its quite strange, none of them are particularly snotty though twinkle was for a while over xmas :? Caramel's just lost her sister last week so could maybe be stressed over that which could have weakened her immune system? :?

i hope they will ok..i must admit bertie and bif have been sneezing a lot..but they do that with the dust in this house courtesy of no floor tiles anymore thank you portsmouth bloomin water!
And the fur off the cats i swear thats the trigger for the sneezing! or either of them getting berties moulted fluff up their noses!

yes sadly stress..bereavement lowers a buns immune sytem..i will keep fingers crossed bless them.

I've had this problem with a couple of my buns and I've taken them to the vet twice but she cant find anything wrong with them - Starr sneezes loads but there is no snot and she's checked his chest and everything is fine - I did wonder if it was dust or allergy but I haven't changed their hay or anything recently so not really sure - I was told just to keep an eye on him and take him back if it got any worse.
