Jane, it might be cheaper to get a usb card reader. Just remove the card from the camera and then put it in the reader which is connected by USB to the PC. It will appear as a new drive. I have an Olymus mju-410 which uses a standard mini USB connector so the cables are cheapish (£7 for a little cable), whereas my Fuji Finepix F30 uses a proprietry cable so would be expensive. These people are good value:

These people are OK for card readers:-

I had to get a USB card reader when the bit on the camera you connected the USB cable to broke. It was much more annoying having to remove it and put it back all the time, so I'd personally recommend a new cable rather than a card reader - my Olympus camera would appear as a new drive when connected by USB too. I did get a new USB cable for it before this and it wasn't that expensive though, I'm sure the card reader was a few pounds more.
I think both were from http://www.ebuyer.com

I love my USB card reader. Just take out the SD card, plug straight into card reader which sits permanently in the USB port of the computer and photos are on hard drive within seconds.

You can always look on ebay, I got all sorts of computer cables there, so I am sure they have camera cables, too. I usually put my CF card into a reader slot on my printer and it sends it to the computer. My PC has reader slots, as well, but then the photos go to a different place on my harddisk than the printer ones, and I like to keep it simple. Not good at finding things on my harddisk.

I would suggest ebay too. Evo bit through my phone cable.....Sony Ericsson wanted £16 for a new one.... I went on ebay, and got an official one for £5 delivered - non official ones were even cheaper.
