Local Cat Spraying My Bunnies :(

Hello,

Can anyone tell me whether a cat spraying over my bunnies is going to cause them any health problems.

There is a local cat (dont know where he is from) that keeps coming into my garden and terrorising my two cats and yesterday I caught him spraying all over my bunny hutches.

Nice eh????

Think you need fox poo - that scares them off - someone had a plate on one of the threads maybe we could start a poo run?  Failing that I'd go with the water gun too.

The poor cat probably hasnt been neutered :(
If you can find his owners, perhaps mention what hes been doing and suggest it...otherwise Id say go with spraying water at him :thumb:

(Ps. could he even be a stray? :( )

SUPER SOAKER 5000!!

That'll sort it! :thumb:

Nah, seriously, it could well be un-neutered and/or a stray. Maybe try to find the owner as previously mentioned?

Yes agree he is probably not neutered. My two cats are girls and are speyed (but suppose he is coming around in the hope they might come into season??).

Think he has a collar but he runs before I can get near him. Also runs before I can get water near him too unfortunately.

Just got in from work and am convinced he was in my house as I heard the catflap go when I walked in and he was in my garden.

Need to find a way to keep him away.

I think I once heard something about filling big plastic bottles with water and putting them in the garden scares cats away.......have absolutly no idea whr this came from and can't see how it'd work but jst thought Id mention it...........

Only problem is that I dont want to scare my OWN CATS in their own garden with all these scare tactics = need to get the stranger cat with freezing water - will have to lay in wait!!!
