Hi everyone,
Not sure if anyone else has ever experienced this, but a few weeks ago Sooty lost all the fur on his chest all the way up to his chin.
My sister took him to the vet for me (unfortunately work won't let you escape for pets!) and the vet gave him some antibiotic cream to rub on twice a day, however it got worse and he lost more fur! As the vet didn't know what was causing the fur loss she was quite baffled so just said to keep trying the cream for a few more days. As he didn't have mites or a skin infection, just complete baldness.
Anyway, he ended up having an injection and the fur has started growing back now, but the vet never determined what was actually wrong and what caused the fur loss.
Has anyone else experienced this with any of their bunnies and did you manage to find out why it happened?
I'm just worried it might happen again, but i've have no way of preventing it.
