enjoy

awwwwwwwwww, i love border collies :D i have two called Chance and Ben, Chance is 5/6 years old and ben is 5/6 months old

aw they are both stunning!
do you have any hassle with them both being boys?
though i guess ben is a bit young yet to be causing trouble in the ranks
i have often thought about getting another boy, but am unsure as to how him and tikki would get on :? the girls get along just great :D

they get on ok but Chance had bad experiances with dogs biting his throat so when ben jumps on him or bites his ears chance growls at him and sometimes snaps at him, but when ben gets older hopefully he will be less jumpy. we were going to get a ***** but there was none left, instead i got my little ben :) ben mainly causes trouble by emptying the bin bag every where and eating the food out of it, and as you can tell by the picture he tends to go for me instead of chance or my family

Ok so now you are spoiling us! Tikki  He looks great in that pic! And Squirrel has really grown up, she looks so different and Brighid...well what can I say...she still wears that cheeky grin!

i am so pleased with how tikki is doing! he really is my miracle boy
as for the other 2......... angels, they have horns and a spiky tail each but they are still my angels :D
thanks for the lovely comments guys

funny how no one tell you when you get your 1st puppy eh?
' yes here is his mum and dad, he is eating well, has begun his house training, he's been well socialised etc etc, oh yes and at least 4 times a day he will grow horns and run the wall of death around your living room before trying to eat the cat!'

Awwww. Does she have any eye problems Colliewoman?

Hopefully in January we will be getting my b/f's 12year old blue merle collie cross, Snowy, from London due to his family not able to look after her properly anymore. Unfortunately she is almost blind because she was born with deformed eyes. She is also going deaf - she is still so cute.

If we're able to have her (dependant on our landlord  I will post some pics.

hi hun, no he doesnt have eye problems though his eyes do reflect weirdly!
he has hepatocutaneous syndrome (easiest to google it if you want to know more rather than me try and explain!)
he was diagnosed september 05 and the disease has an average life expectancy of 4.5 months. not a lot the vets can do but we have made it through with homeopathy :p
you can see his rough feet in that pic and scratches on his chest from where he was shaved for an ultrasound.
that pic is a month or so old and his chest has finally healed up, but it really has taken a year for it to heal
his feet used to look like this;

poor boy, it was soooo sore
but he's still improving!

good luck with snowy! i had a lab who went blind, he coped amazingly well

Awww bless him he has done so well!!!

Thanks for your good luck wishes. I think she will do ok the more blind she goes although my concern is the fact that she is going deaf as well and we'll have to consider her quality of life once these both deteriorate to a level where she can't do anything :( Fingers crossed it isn't soon.
