Snowy and Cottontail, were our first rabbits and were bought as pets for Kirsty & her brother Andrew from a garden centre in 1996. Armed with our Official RSPCA Pet Guide we selected a suitable hutch and all the necessary bits and pieces.
Sadly Snowy didn’t make it to the digital age, but I managed to find a photo and scanned it to get this image. As you can see she enjoyed a good dig!

Clecky, our first rescue bun, was meant to be a ‘friend’ for Cottontail but without any information about bonding or the benefits of neutering, after several fights we ended up keeping them in separate hutches. They seemed happy enough to take it in turns in the garden and visit the others hutch for a nosey.

After Clecky and Cottontail went to the bridge, we adopted Pepsi and Hazel from a local rescue, now closed, and they lived happily together until Hazel passed away this September.

Pepsi has now been joined by Trooper (our first boy bun) who I can say without doubt is the craziest bunny we have encountered, but more about that another time.
Since joining this forum, thanks to all your posts, we have learnt so much more about looking after rabbits which is good for both them and us. Their favourite tip so far must be the loo roll inners stuffed with hay
