Send Get Well Wishes for Patch update RIP Patch

honeybunny

Wise Old Thumper
Patch came to Honeybunnies last February..she had urine scald when she came in and suffered from sticky bum...

We then discovered she had dreadful back teeth and her jaw was in a bad way, she has been seeing a specialist rabbit vet every 4-5 weeks for dentals and the vet advised us that we would probably have to make the decision to let Patch go within 8 months or so due to her jaw.....this was 8 months ago......
The last few weeks she has been having her SS moistened and some apple and banana baby food added to encourage her to eat....I think she has now decided she has had enough and for the last 2 days has not even eaten this...I have been syringe feeding her but she looks so sad and this stresses her, so she will go to the vet tomorrow and I will take the vets advice.
She is such a gentle girlie and has been here so long, if she doesn't come home tomorrow she will leave a big gap

That's so sad :( I hope the outcome is good but if not at least she had lots of love and freedom in the past year.

Good luck Patch xx

awww sending loads of vibes for Patch, is she a permanent bun Jill? Shes really gorgeous I really hope she will be ok tomorrow I'm sure she will :thumb:

Carys she came in as a rescue but, due to the assessment by the vet, was taken off the rehoming list and so became a permanent.

Awwwww she has the best care possible and she has to come home to her mum :)

Patch is still here..she ate some veg yesterday and a few moistened pellets that I hand fed her. She does look a bit better so put off trip to vet til Friday. She is an old lady but ... fingers crossed..

That's great news Jill :D

You must be everso happy. It's such a shame that she was allowed to get in to such a state in the first place. Fortunately, she has been one of the lucky ones and found her safe haven.

Sending lots of get well vibes to the gorgeous Patch xx
