Just dragged myself out of bed, feeling really miserable today, fever, head ache, back ache, you name it, I got it. :(
Anyway, now that my internet is working again at least, I can officially post the Hay Experts sponsorship for Archie. Lisa asked me to post on her behalf, as she is super busy with packing hay.
So Archie gets a 1-year sponsorship, and he may get his own page on the Hay Experts website.

I'm a bit confused as to how you sponsor a rescue bunny that's up for adoption (as opposed to one that's in a rescue/sanctuary that ain't going anywhere) :?
What happens when the bunny you have sponsored is rehomed? Is it part of the rehoming package that the new owner gives you the promised updates :?:
honeybunny
26-11-2006, 10:12 AM
Yep normally you sponsor a resident bun.that has come into the rescue as a rescue..or you sponsor a hutch......
or you could make it a short term sponsor for each new bun...make it cheaper ..say £5 and people get a pic , info on the buns previous life and informed when it's rehomed...and ..if the new owner is in agrrement..a pic of bun with new partner in new home....???
honeybunny
26-11-2006, 10:15 AM
just to add as th eidt button has disappeared on my screen....although it won't raise as much money in the first palce.it has more opportunity to run..and more people can sponsor a completely different bun so may re sponsor in future..and makes it more affordable to add as an extra gift! :D
Might even do this myself for Honeybunnies!!!

26-11-2006, 11:07 AM
The idea is to give the person who sponsors a bunny a regular update and then also a "success" note if the bunny has found a new home. If someone pays a sponsorship for a whole year in advance, and their bunny gets adopted, they can pick a new bunny from the list for the remaining time.
We thought picking a bunny is more personal and interesting than just paying for a hutch.

There does not seem to be an "edit" option in this thread. :?
Anyway, people can sponsor for any amount of time they like. If they choose 3 months, it's only 6 Pounds. It just means that we have to send out more sponsor packs, but we'd gladly do that.

Ooh, if he's still looking when I'm after a boyfriend for Nina I'll definately consider him! He's gorgeous! Nina's a french x dwarf lop cross so she was the biggest of my buns. Would you say he's dwarf lop sized or bigger?
I'm hoping to convert the bigger brick shed in our garden for the animals and have Nina and her boyfriend freerunning for most of the time (except when the dog will be in there for a few hours in the evening to keep me company, hoping to turn it into a mini office so I can spend a lot more time out there with the furries, so buns would be put in a 4' crate for this period). The shed's quite big, can't remember the measurements off the top of my head but it was a little bit bigger than my bedroom I think, which is around 9' x 8' :)
Will have to talk Mum around the idea though, but I'll threaten to keep Nina as a housebun if she doesn't agree
