So many differences of opinion, but what is, in your opinion, the best veg for a rabbit to eat??? Top five please!

No 1 being the best and so on.....

i dont know about whats best for them  but i know in order of preference my lot like

1. pear (but only small amounts of course)
2. spring greens
3. parsley
4. celery
5. cauli leaves and cauli itself

i would imagine though that the more green the veg is, the better for bunnies it is

Hmm, I find it a difficult question too.

Deej loves

1: Cabbage or spring greens
2: Cucumber
3: Celery
4: Cauliflower or Broccoli
5: Carrots

He seems to have a bit of a thing for veg beginning with C

As for fruit he loves apples and tomatoes! :D

Preference or health wise.
In fact I'll give you Barney and Roxy's top 5!

1, Raisins -as many as possible if you stop feeding them to me I may attack untill you provide more!

2, apple- mmmmmm

3, brocolli- mmmmmm

4, carrot-mmmmm

5, hay- if we must!

1. Dandelion- Gasket goes mad for these!

2. Grass - Tappet loves his grass

3. Parsley - They both love this

4. Spring greens - For breakfast

5. Kale - Again, they quite like this.

Top 5

Spring Greens
Savoy Cabbage
Carrot
joint 4th...Coriander..Dandelions (leaves and flowers), Rocket.

Joint 5th..small amounts of Apple and Pear

Thanks for the replies - just that Pickle doesnt seem to go much for spring greens!!

Pickle would be:

1. Grapes
2. Carrot
3. Dandelion
4. Grass
5. Apple

Not tried raisons or parsley or watercress... must make note to buy some at the supermarket!!

my buns faves go
1: broccoli (the bobbly bit at te top alwyas seems to go first)
2. savoy cabbage
3. spring greens
4. basil
5. parsley

Excuse me please!!

Can I make a small complaint please.....you asked for the top 5 veggies and people are putting herbs in their list of veggies and it's confusing me!!

Seriously, this is a brilliant thread so can you rename it and ask for top 5 veggies and top 5 herbs, would make it much easier when I go shopping

Or am I being to pedantic?

Sorry!

My two's top five (in order of preference) are:

1. Spring greens
2. Carrots
3. Brocolli
4. Parsley (flat-leaved preferable to curly)
5. Coriander

I know the last two are herbs and not veg but it's just what they like. They don't seem keen on fruit and look at me as if I'm stupid if I offer them grapes!

You shouldn't give a bunny curly parsley because it's got too much calcium in it and can give them bladder stones, flat leaf parsley is OK though

Just thought I would mention it

1 - Cale
2 - Cauliflower Leaves
3 - Brocalli
4 - Greens
5 - Carrot

I think that "carrot" is technically the only veg on my list, the others grow on top of the ground so they are not veg???

Perhaps there could be a top 5 fruit section as well?

Hannah

Ooh thanks  I didn't know that! Will be sticking to flat leaf from now on (although they don't have either very often as they prefer spring greens above all else!)

Wow I am shocked at the small amount that say apple here's mine:

4) Brocolli
5) Cucumber
