Hi all,
I thought you might be interested to read about our rather interesting (and positive) rabbit rescue efforts on Tuesday 7th Nov.
It all started with the beginning of this thread:
http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=32912
We went round to this lady's house on Tuesday night, and picked up two black and white dutches (M & F), one himalayan rex (M), and one yellow and white dutch (F). This lady used to be a small-scale breeder, keeping the babies. They were all in nice big hutches, had an exercise area, and were in good condition. She had to give up because of family circumstances, but didn't have a car, so we offered to take them to a rescue.
Janice very kindly offered to take them in, so having put each rabbit into a carrier (with name tags and info for Janice!) we strapped them into the car and headed for Twickenham. When we got to Janice's, she had some one-day old guinea pigs!! Harry totally fell in love with the two girls (who fell asleep in his hands), so we're going to add them to our existing pair when they're old enough! Here are the little sweethearts!!
So, all is good! The rabbits have been rescued, and we get two more little darlings for our menagerie!!
